Canada day had some extra fun and celebration up it’s sleeve in the heat for some athletes of IronStride and beyond.
Aaron Anderson ran the Canada Day 5k in Brockville in 19:41 for 10th overall and 4th in AG! Aaron says “Pretty happy overall for a slow guy!” I think we’d agree that with that PB material that Aaron is becoming a fast guy!
Canada day also saw the competitive Limestone Mile races in Kingston with the familiar local talent and some out-of-towners. In the women’s mile Stacey Berdan ran 7:24. In the men’s mile we saw familiar faces in Dalton Cote 5:30, Chuck Douglas 6:22, and Jim Elyot in 6:32.
What a nice way to celebrate our great country and get that race speed going!
